Babies diagonal rib jacket, round or V neck – Jude

This babies Cardigan, with set-in sleeves, is worked in a diagonal rib. The pattern includes the option of both a round neck and V neck. It is photographed in size 0 months, along with the matching pants and beanie which are available separately (please see my Jory pattern for those).

 

Pattern sizes: 0 (3-6-12) months.

 

To fit chest: 35 (40-45-50) cm [13¾ (15¾-17¾-19¾) ins].

Actual measurement: 41 (46-52-58) cm [16 (18-20½-23) ins].

Length: 22 (26-29-33) cm [8¾ (10¼-11½-13) ins].

 

Yarn required: 2 (3-3-4) balls Miss Tricot Filati, Mon Amour, 50g balls@135m.

 

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

A 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] circular knitting needle, 60cm [23½ ins] long, for V neck.

Wool needle for sewing up.

 

Other requirements: A stitch holder; 4 (5-5-6) buttons for round neck; 3 (4-4-5) buttons for V neck.

 

Tension: 22.5 sts and 31 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over patt, using 4.00mm needles.
