Joy

Joy likes long walks on the beach and the smell of hair after it’s been washed. The original sample was knit using ANGORA which made me get a bit strange while I was knitting it. It is just such a soft amazingly… soft yarn. I don’t think there are other descriptors for it really even. It was just me going “soft… soft… soft… kittens… soft” while I was knitting. I might have also been drooling - but not on the hat… I promise.

Joy is also the sister-hat to Swoon another one of my ribbed hat patterns!

Knitting needles:

2.5mm needles in a 16” cord
2.5mm Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)

Yarn:

I used two balls of Schulana Angora Fashion but you can use 246 yards (224 meters) of any fluffy angora (or non-fluffy, non-angora) fingering weight yarn.

Notions:

1 stitch marker to mark your beginning of round.
Whatever tools you use to weave in ends.

Gauge:

20 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches in 1x1 rib. Stitch gauge is important in this while row gauge isn’t so much. You’ll be “knitting until” so the amount of rows can vary depending on your gauge.

Dimentions:

9” tall and 24” measured at the brim.

As with all my for-pay patterns. If you find yourself low on funds please don’t hesitate to send me a message. I’ll be happy to gift the pattern to you!
