臺灣作曲家與打擊樂家，其創作展現出宏大的交響視野與獨特的當代器樂語彙。自國立臺北藝術大學畢業後赴法國深造，在校期間管弦樂法曾與馬水龍（Ma Shui-long）教授學習，留法期間則師從國際知名木琴家艾瑞克·薩謬（Eric Sammut）。這些經歷深刻啟發了他對現代聲音結構、器樂色彩與節奏律動的多元思維，進而建構出他兼具理性嚴謹與感性戲劇張力的創作風格。

Bang-Hau Liao is a Taiwanese composer and percussionist whose music brings together a grand symphonic vision and a unique modern style. After graduating from Taipei National University of the Arts, where he studied orchestration under Professor Ma Shui-long, he moved to France for further studies. There, he studied with the world-famous marimbist Eric Sammut. These experiences deeply inspired his ideas about sound, musical colors, and rhythms, helping him shape a style that is both well-structured and emotionally powerful.

他擅長在宏大的交響框架下，交織出極具張力的旋律層次與多變的節奏光譜。他的作品範疇廣泛，涵蓋大型管弦樂、各類器樂室內樂以及獨奏作品，並頻繁獲得國內外樂團與演奏家的委託創作。憑藉純熟的管弦樂法與多變的和聲色彩，他將創作回歸音樂情感的本質，致力於譜寫出既能激動人心、又能撫慰靈魂的深刻作品。

Liao excels at combining rich melodies and rhythms within a grand orchestral framework. His works include large orchestral pieces, chamber music, and solos, and he is frequently commissioned by orchestras and musicians worldwide. With his skillful orchestration and colorful harmonies, Liao brings music back to pure emotion, dedicated to writing pieces that can both excite the heart and soothe the soul.

其作品曾由長榮交響樂團、高雄市交響樂團、新逸交響樂團及樂興之時管絃樂團等多個知名樂團與傑出音樂家精彩首演與巡演。演出足跡遍及臺灣三大國家級場館——國家音樂廳、臺中國家歌劇院與衛武營國家藝術文化中心音樂廳，更遠播至美國紐約卡內基音樂廳，獲得廣大樂迷與業界的高度迴響。

His compositions have been premiered and performed by renowned orchestras and acclaimed soloists, including the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, New Art Symphony Orchestra, and Philharmonia Moments Musicaux Orchestra. His music has resonated across major international stages, ranging from Taiwan’s premier venues—the National Concert Hall, National Taichung Theater, and Weiwuying Concert Hall—to the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York.
