bdieges designs

Although I have been playing with fabrics and threads since childhood, I did not make my first quilt until 1969. By 1982 quilting had become my passion. I have had several years of in-depth study of quilt history, design, and techniques with some very traditional and non-traditional quilt teachers. One of my quilts won an Honorable Mention at the American Quilt Society in Paducah, KY, and my Snow Crystals quilt was the cover quilt for Quilter's Newsletter 1999.

I have had numerous patterns and books published. My book "A Thread Runs Through It," is based on my one-woman play, which was presented to many guilds across the United States from California to Florida and Oregon to Alaska.

After 22 years of running my website, selling patterns, and designing the Block of the Month, I have finally decided to retire.  A few of the patterns are available free for everyone to enjoy and for now, my website is still available with free tutorials.
