Hi there! My name is Chantal! I’m a 35-year-old South African living in Maastricht, The Netherlands. You will either find me enjoying and living my best life as a happy, strong, independent woman or sulking on the couch in my pink unicorn onzie feeling sorry for myself (there is no in-between).
I have a day job in Marketing at a corporate company and in my spare time I write stories and movie scripts.
I self-published my 1st fiction novel titled “Magic” in April 2017. It's a story about a young woman's pursuit of happiness after meeting the handsome lion tamer of a travelling circus.
In 2020 I published my 2nd book: "The zombie and his existential crisis" which is a quirky, fantasy-story about a zombie in search of the meaning of life. The book is written for young teenagers, but anyone's who's a little bit weird, with a dark sense of humour and sometimes wonders what the meaning of life is should enjoy this book. ;-)
My books mostly deal with philosophical issues such as the meaning of life, love (whether it's real or just a chemical reaction), depression and the concept of freedom.
My stories are a little bit weird and a little bit magical, because, well, I'm a little bit weird and a little bit magical.
