Crafting stories in paper…

Welcome to my art studio! My art is crafted with passion through the delicate art of paper cutting - all from the comfort of bed.

As a disabled artist who has been housebound for close to a decade, I've turned to art to help pass the time. I got into paper-cutting and collages three years ago while recovering from a clot crisis. The other types of art you see here are examples of the many different art mediums I work in.

Each piece in my studio is 100% unique and meticulously designed by hand to bring joy and wonder to every recipient.

In my creations, you'll see whimsical designs from butterfly castles to fairy groves, sugar skulls and fairy tales to sea creatures, dragons, butterflies, dragonflies, all kinds of flora and fauna, and more.

People tell me I’m a jack-of-all-trades, but I’m really just a woman who believes inspiration can be found in everything.

I have my first of the Fairy Forest collection. I adore it.

I hope to add to my collection of whimsical, peaceful forest delight.

You find something new in the collage every time you look at it.

Carrie Kellenberger

Disabled Canadian artist, author, and advocate living in beautiful Taiwan…

I’ve been crafting stories in paper all my life through writing and art. All my work is 100% original and unique. I don't print or scan replicas of my work.

My art ranges from freeform wire sculptures and jewelry to paper crafts, clay, and painting. I taught art classes throughout my 20s and 30s and was a member of the Amaryllis Artist Guild in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada for many years. My work in custom tiaras and bridal jewelry was featured in Justina McCaffrey Bridal Designs in the early 2000s in the Byward Market before I moved to Asia in 2003. The disabling diseases that I live with have forced me to slow down and focus on the things I can still do. They've also made me realize that art and writing are huge passions that deserve my attention, not only because they reflect who I am, but also because the act of creating is a coping technique that allows me to escape from the Kingdom of the Sick for hours each day.

Art has always been at the heart and soul of what I do. I hope you see my passion for it reflected here.

About Me

Learn a little more about me and my many hobbies. I've been writing about my journey since 2006 and have written hundreds of articles on topics like disability, chronic illness, life with chronic pain, life with mostly med-resistant and difficult to treat inflammatory arthritis, and other things.

I live with two forms of inflammatory spinal arthritis (Axial Spondyloarthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis) and it makes life very challenging. I'm also a Fibromyalgia Support Group leader and have worked in the support space since 2015 with thousands of other Spondy, Fibro and ME warriors around the world.

Life did not go the way I expected it to go, but I've found other ways to live it to the fullest. Welcome to My Several Worlds.

About My Several Worlds - MSW

My Several Worlds is about the worlds I live in and the boundaries that blur between my worlds as I move through them. I left Canada in 2003 to see the world at age 27. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with Asia AND became chronically ill. I’ve lived with chronic illness for over 20 years, and I have a lot of knowledge to offer readers.

Disabled and living with: Two kinds of Spondyloarthritis (AxSpA also known as Ankylosing Spondylitis) and Psoriatic Arthritis, APS, FibromyalgiaMECFS, IBS, chronic migraine, chronic tension-headache, and all the ‘joys’ that come with these diseases.
