Hello, I'm Janin, a 27-year-old who, for the past 7 years, has embraced life as a Left Above the knee Amputee (LAK) following a challenging motorcycle accident. Soon after the incident, my leg was amputated at a high level due to severe infection. Standing at 160 cm tall and weighing 40 kgs, my petite frame carries a size 36 shoe.
Having successfully completed my studies to become a teacher, I'm passionate about education and nurturing young minds. Beyond the classroom, my adventurous spirit leads me to dream of exploring my own country as well as the vibrant cultures of Singapore and Thailand. Germany and the USA also hold a special place in my travel aspirations.
Fashion is a form of self-expression for me, and I'm not afraid to flaunt miniskirts and alluring tops that reflect my bold personality. Embracing my journey, I've learned to appreciate and confidently display my stump, finding empowerment in self-acceptance. Although I have a prosthesis, I find comfort in walking with crutches, and it's a choice that feels right for me.
Despite the challenges I've faced, my resilient spirit has taught me to accept and persevere, embodying the philosophy of always moving forward, regardless of the obstacles in my path. Life is an adventure, and I'm determined to make the most of every moment.
