Hey Creative Cooks!
I’m Phebean Davies, a chef, recipe developer, commercial food content creator, host of the Creative Phebe Cooks channel on Youtube with over 20 years in the homemade food making business. You’d think that as a woman who also earned her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences and studied Food & Nutrition, I would have naturally known how to pair the right food with my cycle phases but that was far from the truth. In fact, I made matters worse - I had it all backwards.
Instead of eating healing soups, I gave into all my cravings during my Menstrual phase and overworked myself which made me extremely moody and lethargic. And instead of focussing on phase-specific foods I was reaching out for any and every food that looked good to soothe my cravings in the moment. This got me nowhere until I decided to track my cycle, prioritize the whole foods and nutrients I needed for every phase as well as make a lifestyle change to experience the transformation I needed to feel good about myself, my body, and my womanhood. It's a really good feeling not having to overcomplicate the process.
