Crickett's House

I am a pattern maker, software tester, wife, mother, SeaMonkey, devourer of books, and lover of almost all things Sci-Fic. For as long as I can remember, I've enjoyed thread arts. As a child, I remember working on a crewel piece with my mother. As a teenager, I learned how to knit, and made the obligatory standard scarves. In college, I learned how to crochet, and made innumerable wacky projects. I even became a registered Louisiana Artist at one point. Eventually, I learned how to cross-stitch, and made a few projects from other people's designs. I even created a couple as gifts for my siblings. I've always tinkered with the projects I made from other people's patterns, changing the placement, or maybe the colors, or even re-designing a whole section to better suit my vision. I didn't consider myself a designer, though. Then I started making a few designs of FireFly quotes in a gothic font with rather classic borders, for friends. Now, the floodgates have opened, and I really enjoy the creative side of pattern making.
