A purchase gives the purchaser a personal, non-transferable license to use that product. You receive permission to use the files; you do not receive ownership or copyright of the avatar, design, or included assets.

You may use a purchased avatar for personal use in VRChat, subject to the product listing and the terms of any included third-party assets.

You may create personal edits, such as changing colors, adding compatible accessories, or setting up toggles. You may post personal screenshots, videos, or streams featuring the avatar. Please credit Dorie’s Basement when sharing public content.

You may not:

• Share, sell, trade, leak, or redistribute product files or download links.
• Make the avatar public or place it in a public avatar world.
• Let another person use your files or license.
• Extract parts of the product for use in another avatar or project.
• Claim the original product, design, or included assets as your own.
• Remove creator credits or attribution included with the product.
• Use the product in a way that violates VRChat rules or a third-party creator’s license.

If you hire an editor to modify an avatar, the editor must own their own valid license for that avatar and for any assets they use in the work. You may not provide your purchased files or license to an editor who has not obtained the required licenses.

Both you and the editor must follow the terms set by Dorie’s Basement and by every third-party asset creator involved. The editor may use licensed files only to complete the agreed commission and may not keep, reuse, or redistribute them unless the applicable licenses explicitly allow it.

Credit Dorie’s Basement when posting public content that features a purchased avatar, especially for streams, videos, or promotional posts.

You may not present the avatar or its original design as your own creation. Any third-party assets included in the product remain subject to their creators’ terms.

Do not submit product files or included assets to generative AI tools for training, editing, generation, or redistribution without written permission. Do not use AI tools to remove attribution or reproduce the product.

For a gifted product, the license belongs to the recipient named at checkout. The person purchasing the gift does not receive a license unless they purchase their own copy.
