Doug Forbes is a software engineer, amateur historian and author. He studied at Mississippi State University and the University of Kentucky; graduating from the latter in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He has been married for 25 years and is a father of seven. Life experiences range from short stays in the Fayette County jail to missionary service in the Netherlands as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
