When it comes to getting things done it can often feel like wanting to procrastinate. If you are one of the many who wait till the last minute to get things done or struggle to have no plan of action to get things done, then you have come to the right place. In this post we will go over ways that you can get more done in the spirit of wellness. We will combine adding structure and wellness to your daily routine by looking at time management, wellness activities, inspired action, and creating a daily plan or outline.
Time Management
Finding the time to get things done is crucial to any plan of execution. When you are able to better manage your time you are able to accomplish more in a days time. For example, let’s say you have a project or task to accomplish by the end of the week. Being able to look at your schedule as a whole and block out time periods every day to accomplish your project by the end of the week will help you with successfully accomplishing this. So, for any project or task that need to be done with a certain time frame again, block out time periods or schedule a specific day where you are completely devoted to getting this done.
Wellness Activities
Your wellness activities contribute a great deal to you being productive and accomplishing tasks. When you are able to add wellness activities to your daily routine you can prioritize better and get more done. Case in point, let’s assume you have considered the idea of time management and set your schedule to be up at 6:30 am, upon arising you can begin a morning workout that will increase your endorphins, which are feel good emotions that may inspire you to take action towards your goals. You can also consider journaling your ideas onto paper or quieting your mind to focus greater.
Inspired Action
Inspiration can often feel like it comes out of nowhere and often it does but, it comes when we feel most aligned and tuned into our innate goodness. The best way to work from inspired action is by following what feels good, and not pushing against ourselves. For example, if you know you had a choice between walking for 10 minutes or 20 minutes, depending upon how you feel, I would believe that you would choose the easiest path, which is walking for 10 minutes. The way that we can apply this to feeling inspired is to do what feels most aligned with your spirit and what lights you up because taking this route means you are onto something that will lead you to a path of lesser resistance.
Creating a Daily Plan or Outline
Creating a daily plan can be lots of fun and enjoyment, if you are in the right frame of mind. The way to get to the right frame of mind is by taking the inspired action, once you have done this it’s time to put together a plan or outline. What this can look like is getting a daily planner and writing down the important things you need to accomplish for the week. You may also want to write out fun things to do as breaks between your plans. Once you have your list of things to do and fun plans between breaks, begin to structure them to stretch them out over a weeks time. For example, possibly Tuesday and Thursday you want to focus on a work project, and on Monday and Friday you plan out a birthday party for your 7 year old. Between those plans you want to add in going for a walk, taking a moment to appreciate, or treating yourself to ice cream as a fun activity. Remember to set with your time management skills, and add in your wellness activities to start your day, and you are off to a good start with productivity and wellness.
