About EUNEXIAS

The Founder

EUNEXIAS was founded by Dr Sophie Di Francesco-Mayot, who holds a PhD in European politics and a Master of Teaching (Secondary). Her academic background informs her interest in European political systems, institutions and ideas. With a French-Australian background, her interests encompass European political thought, the relationship between political power and identity, and Europe's evolving role in global affairs.

The Vision

EUNEXIAS was established to explore the political ideas, institutional structures and competing forces that shape Europe and its place in the world. It also requires attention to history, political thought, identity, governance and the changing relationship between national and European interests. EUNEXIAS seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of these questions through independent analysis and intellectual inquiry.

An Independent Perspective

EUNEXIAS brings together an interest in European politics, political philosophy and contemporary global affairs. Its French-Australian perspective, shaped by a connection to both Europe and Australia, offers a distinctive lens through which to examine European political developments and Europe's relationship with the wider world. Its work examines how political authority is exercised, how institutions respond to change, and how Europe's values and interests shape its position internationally. Through independent analysis and intellectual inquiry, EUNEXIAS seeks to explore these questions with academic rigour and a broader international outlook.
