About Me
Hi, I’m Mark — a psychology graduate and MSc Mental Health Psychology student with a passion for helping people rebuild their lives after leaving high-control groups, especially former Jehovah’s Witnesses.
After leaving the religion myself, I became deeply interested in the psychology of identity, belief, trauma, self-esteem, and recovery. Through my content, guides, courses, and videos, I aim to help people understand what they’ve been through and move towards a happier, more authentic life.
My work combines psychological research with real-world experience. I draw on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative psychology, behavioural activation, and critical thinking — but I explain things in a clear, relatable, down-to-earth way.
On this page you’ll find recovery resources, practical exercises, downloadable guides, and content designed to help people:
• rebuild confidence and identity
• process fear, guilt, and shame
• understand manipulation and indoctrination
• develop emotional resilience
• create a meaningful life beyond the organisation
I believe recovery is not just about “leaving” something behind — it’s about building something new.
Thanks for being here.
