How We Use Growth Mindset Posters in Homeschooling

On our first year of homeschooling, I had a hard time motivating Miss Eager Beaver to work on difficult tasks and new challenges. Or to at least try... 😔

Until I started introducing her to these growth mindset concepts, it was when she had a great 🧲 turnaround.

She's brave 💪 enough to try new things, more willing to work on harder challenges and took mistakes as opportunities for learning.

Whenever she's faced with a challenging situation or close to giving up, I used these growth mindset posters to remind her of what she can do and try.

I reminded her how difficult things become easy when learned and practiced. And it eventually paved way to her own realization. This helped her recognize what seem to be difficult now may not always be that hard.

Rather than feeling helpless when faced with a setback, this helped encourage her to invest more effort and seek out ways to handle a challenge.

With these growth mindset posters displayed on our wall, it was easier to refer to it whenever she feel discouraged. And I gently reminded her of the things she once thought was difficult and able to do now.

These same growth mindset posters also became reminders when I, myself was trapped in challenging situations being new to homeschooling.

Growth mindset can be learned across all ages.

And in this light, am sharing our treasured resource — Coloring Growth Mindset Posters for FREE (for kids and adults alike!)

P.S.

Together with these Growth Mindset Posters, I rewarded her with (drum roll...) Growth Mindset Medals!

Growth Mindset Medals | Growth Mindset Homeschool Printable

I 🏅 rewarded her for her effort, learning and progress. And even for admitting her mistakes and for trying to be better. My goal was to help her overcome challenges (which is always present in life) with the right 🤯 mindset.

For me, having a growth mindset is one of the 🏛 foundations of learning —

  • Seeking to learn, improve and persevere.
  • Accepting and honoring the intentions of your actions even when you fail.
  • Above all, even with success, considering yourself as a big work in progress so you'll always strive to grow as a person.

I guess, continuous improvement will always be my forever mantra being a Continuous Improvement Coach 🤭 before I became a Homeschool Momma.

Sharing this Growth Mindset Medals that once filled my daughter's 💗 heart for all the challenges she took with an improved mindset. Hope this brings smiles and encouragement to your family too.

YES TO GROWTH MINDSET!
