Behind the Book | A Letter to the Woman Who Needs This Book

A Letter to the Woman Who Needs This Book

Dear Woman,

I don’t know where you are in your life right now.

Maybe you’re in love.

Maybe you’re confused.

Maybe you’re waiting for someone to finally give you the clarity you’ve been asking for.

Maybe you’re healing from something you never thought would hurt this much.

Or maybe you’re simply tired.

Tired of being strong.

Tired of understanding everyone.

Tired of making excuses for people you love.

Tired of wondering whether you’re asking for too much when all you really want is honesty, consistency, and peace.

If that’s where you are, I want you to know something:

You are not too much for wanting to be loved well.

You don’t have to become smaller to make someone comfortable.

You don’t have to silence your needs to keep someone around.

You don’t have to constantly prove that you’re worthy of being chosen.

And you don’t have to chase clarity from someone who keeps giving you confusion.

Sometimes, we hold on because we remember the beautiful moments.

We remember the promises.

We remember who someone was when everything felt good.

And we keep hoping that version of them will come back.

But I hope this book reminds you to look at what is happening now.

Not just what happened before.

Not just what you hope could happen someday.

Look at the reality in front of you.

Listen to your intuition.

Pay attention to patterns.

And most importantly, listen to yourself.

You are allowed to love someone and still decide that something isn’t right for you.

You are allowed to miss someone and still move forward.

You are allowed to forgive without returning.

You are allowed to care without chasing.

And you are allowed to choose yourself without feeling guilty.

Please don’t mistake your softness for weakness.

The fact that you still have the capacity to love after being hurt is not weakness.

It is courage.

But protect that softness with wisdom.

Have boundaries.

Know your worth.

And never make someone else’s inability to love you properly the measurement of your value.

There will be moments when choosing yourself feels lonely.

Choose yourself anyway.

There will be moments when walking away feels harder than staying.

Choose peace anyway.

There will be moments when you question whether you made the right decision.

Trust that you are allowed to make a new decision when you have new understanding.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You just need to keep coming back to yourself.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Because becoming whole isn’t about never breaking.

It’s about learning how to gather yourself gently when you do.

So if you picked up EQUILIBRIUM because something in your heart feels unsettled, I hope these pages meet you gently.

I hope they don’t tell you what to do.

I hope they help you hear your own voice more clearly.

And when you finally close the book, I hope you remember:

You are worthy of love that feels safe.

You are worthy of consistency.

You are worthy of peace.

And most importantly—

you are worthy of yourself.

With love,

AmitafLee
