Before You Read My Book…
Before you turn the first page, I want to ask you for one thing:
Come as you are.
You don’t have to be healed.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t have to know exactly what you are looking for.
Just come with an open heart.
Because EQUILIBRIUM isn’t a book that promises to tell you exactly what to do.
It is a book that invites you to pause.
To reflect.
To question.
To feel.
Maybe you’ll recognize yourself in some of these pages.
Maybe you’ll disagree with some of them.
Maybe a particular sentence will make you uncomfortable.
And that’s okay.
Not every truth feels comfortable when we first meet it.
Some truths challenge us.
Some make us rethink the choices we’ve made.
Some remind us of things we already knew but weren’t ready to admit.
Read this book slowly.
You don’t have to finish it in one sitting.
Let the words breathe.
Underline something that speaks to you.
Write your own thoughts in the margins.
Come back to a chapter when life gives you a reason to see it differently.
Because you may not read the same book twice.
The first time, you may read it with your heart.
The second time, you may read it with your experience.
And suddenly, a sentence that once meant nothing may mean everything.
Most importantly, don’t read these pages looking for someone else.
Don’t read them wondering who they remind you of.
Read them looking for you.
Your patterns.
Your boundaries.
Your hopes.
Your fears.
Your growth.
Your becoming.
And if you find yourself somewhere between these pages, be gentle with her.
She did the best she could with what she knew at the time.
Don’t punish her for what she didn’t understand yet.
Thank her for surviving it.
Thank her for learning.
And thank her for bringing you here.
Because this book isn’t about becoming someone completely different.
It is about coming home to the person you have always been beneath the fear, the expectations, the heartbreak, and the noise.
So before you begin—
Take a breath.
Put down the need to have everything figured out.
And allow yourself to simply be present.
Maybe somewhere in these pages, you’ll find an answer.
Maybe you’ll find a question you needed to ask.
Or maybe you’ll find something even more valuable:
A little more of yourself.
Welcome to EQUILIBRIUM.
