Behind the Book | Why I Wrote This Book

I didn’t write this book because I had all the answers.

I wrote it because I had questions.

Questions about love. About waiting. About letting go. About why we sometimes hold on to people, situations, and feelings even when they no longer give us peace.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that becoming whole isn’t about finding someone who completes you.

It is about finding yourself again.

Equilibrium was born from that realization.

It is for the woman who has loved deeply, wandered through uncertainty, questioned her worth, and sometimes wondered whether she was asking for too much when all she really wanted was consistency, honesty, and peace.

This book is not about blaming someone for what happened.

It is not about proving who was right or who was wrong.

It is about understanding.

Understanding love without losing yourself.

Understanding distance without making excuses for inconsistency.

Understanding boundaries without feeling guilty.

And learning that detachment doesn’t always mean you stopped caring.

Sometimes, detachment simply means:

I care about you, but I also care about myself.

I wanted to write something that felt less like a textbook and more like a quiet conversation with someone who has been there.

A book you can open when your heart feels heavy.

A book you can read when you’re confused.

A book that reminds you that you don’t have to chase what is meant to meet you halfway.

Most of all, I wanted to create a book with a soul.

Something honest.

Something feminine.

Something that allows us to feel without losing our direction.

Because love can be beautiful.

But love should never require you to abandon yourself.

And perhaps that is what this journey is really about—

not simply finding love,

but learning how to remain whole while loving.
