DIOGO DUARTE is a jurist and a data protection consultant who works with public and private entities to improve, secure, and align their privacy strategy and data processing structure with the data protection laws.

DIOGO holds a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in International Law and International Relations from the University of Lisbon with a specialisation in European Law. After several years working for the Portuguese government, he decided to pursue a career as a data protection consultant in 2018. With impeccable dexterity coordinating theory and practice, his clients include the Portuguese Mission for the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of European Union and private entities within the financial, digital goods, and human resources sectors.

DIOGO is currently creating the first Portuguese non-profit to represent and defend data subjects’ interests and rights within the meaning of the Art. 80 (1) GDPR.
