Habib G. Rizk, M.D. grew up in Beirut-Lebanon. He graduated from Notre-Dame de Jamhour College, one of the most prestigious establishments in the Middle East, summa cum laude with both a French and a Lebanese Baccalaureate. He then attended the French Faculty of Medicine-Saint Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon, for a 7-year medicine program. He was a recipient of an exceptional 7-year academic scholarship for the 125th anniversary of Saint-Joseph University. He graduated in 2007. Dr. Rizk pursued an Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery residency at Hôtel-Dieu de France Hospital in Beirut, one of the premier medical centers in the region and completed a five-year residency program in 2012. Following this, he came to the USA, to Wilmington, Delaware and completed a one-year Otologic Medicine and Surgery Fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Teixido. Dr. Rizk then joined the Medical University of South Carolina for a two-year Neurotology fellowship from July 2013 through June 2015. Dr. Rizk has been involved in hearing-related and dizziness-related research throughout his residency and fellowship. He authored several book chapters and articles. Dr. Rizk’s interests pertain to all areas of otology and neurotology with a specific focus on medical and surgical management of vestibular disorders. Upon conclusion of his fellowship Dr. Rizk joined the MUSC Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery as the Director of the Vestibular Center in order to establish a Multidisciplinary Dizziness Evaluation and Management Program in Charleston.
