About Lady Picasso

Marissa Porter, also known by her stage name "Lady Picasso", is a 27-year-old digital artist, social media influencer, and YouTuber with a following of over 175,000 across her social media platforms. In 2018, Marissa launched her career by founding Lady Picasso LLC, an online art business where she sold original paintings, fine art prints, accessories, and merchandise. Her artwork has been showcased in several Los Angeles galleries, and she has been featured in notable outlets like Voyage LAArt Bish podcast, and Archangel magazine.

In January 2020, Marissa’s life took a pivotal turn when her father was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. As she began accompanying him to doctor’s appointments, Marissa dove into researching cancer-fighting foods, exercises, and supplements. This experience inspired her to take responsibility for her own health. Struggling with food and body image issues for much of her life, Marissa had a negative relationship with food, often opting for nutrient-deficient meals and rarely cooking for herself. She also battled clinical depression, using food as a coping mechanism.

Marissa's transformation began in 2020, as she started shopping at local grocery stores like Trader Joe’s and eliminated fast food from her routine. The lockdown forced her to get creative in the kitchen, experimenting with quick and nutritious meals. She also incorporated long walks into her daily routine, which helped her lose over 40 lbs by June 2020. Marissa documented her weight loss journey on Instagram and began posting health and wellness content on YouTube, including “What I Eat in a Day” videos and tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Now balancing her life as an artist and wellness content creator, Marissa continues to share her journey on Instagram and YouTube. Through her brand Lady Picasso, she aims to inspire others to take charge of their health in a fun and creative way.
