This is the most recent picture book to be added to our little library and it is so precious.
I adore the watercolor style illustrations and how it has that classic nostalgic picture book feel. I love the color palette and how peaceful and calming the story feels just by looking at it. I want to live in this story and explore the shores with Emma.
The story is so lovely and the writing is beautiful. Emma is such a wonderful heroine and I loved her trusty dog Nemo.
I’m so excited to have this beautiful picture book on our read aloud rotation!
If you are a homeschool mama with preschool or kindergartners then I think this will be perfect to read aloud to them and bring in learning about the seaside, marine life, whales, and truly you can make this part of learning science. I love when we can blend English with history or science in the books we read.
