Andre Segura is a Cajun transplant who traded the humid swamps of Louisiana for the snow-capped mountains of Washington State. He enjoys all fiction but is particularly drawn to the speculative nature of fantasy/science fiction, believing it has a unique capacity for exploring the human condition. After the loss of his life-partner and best friend to cancer, he turned to writing to work through his own questions of existence and loss, completing his first novel The Last Protocol.
