Mary Minnock

I've been an avid reader since my mother taught me to read at age three. Each new sibling that arrived was immediately enrolled in the library so I could have their allotment of books every week.

A shy child, I lived vicariously through the lives of Anne of Green Gables, the March sisters, Black Beauty, and so many more.

At around eight years of age, I wanted to be the one who made that magic happen and decided that I wanted to be a writer. That desire has never left me. I wrote stories, produced plays (forcing my siblings to participate) and created magazines.

As I grew up, I became convinced that it an unrealistic dream, and I worked in various careers, but it was in 2003 that I came back to my first love and started to write fiction.

I self-published my first novel, Homesick, in 2023 and my second, Love Lost, in 2024.

The connections I have made with readers are the reason I write. A reader brings their own sensitivities to each book they read and their contribution completes it and creates a whole unique conversation.

Thank you!
