I am a Welsh graphic designer and writer, drawn to the quiet authority of old things. My work is shaped by language as much as image, by atmosphere as much as form, and by a deep affection for aged surfaces, muted light, and the sensibilities of the medieval and Tudor world.

I favour shadow over spectacle, texture over polish, and compositions that unfold slowly, whether in words or in image. Umbral Aesthetics exists as a place for contemplative work, shaped by history and offered without excess.
