Mike began studying drums at the age of 8 with Charlie Perry. Through the years he studied with various musicians, including: David Garibaldi, Michael Carvin, Saul Goodman, Roland Kohloff, Buster Bailey and Morris Lang. Mike has a bachelor of music degree from The Julliard School. He studied every percussion genre from rock to jazz to classical and world music. Mike’s extensive career includes studio work and performances with a wide range of musicians from Todd Rundgren to Wynton Marsalis to Pierre Boulez, and many in between.
