Dr Suzanne Court

Dr Suzanne Court is an internationally published scholar in music. She specialised for many years in music from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. When she taught foundation music courses at Otago University (New Zealand) she discovered that students really grasped the meaning of theory when it was taught from the point of view of how it was developed historically from medieval and renaissance times. This book stemmed from many years experience as a music professor in New Zealand and Australia, and has been tested successfully in university foundation courses. Suzanne has now retired from the classroom and lives in Raglan, New Zealand, where she works with horses, writes, and makes classical guitars.
