Ralph began writing at the age of 8 and at that time Mrs. Klemanski reported, "Ralph's writing is quite messy and it is hardly more legible than his awkward printing. Perhaps he would do well to consider a career as a doctor."
Undaunted, he continued to write throughout his childhood and into his adult life. Despite his abominable penmanship Ralph's work has actually been published in newspapers and magazines. This is his first book for grown-ups.
In 1959 Ralph moved with his family to Vancouver Island and has mostly lived there since. He and his wife now live in Qualicum Beach. He started going to school in 1958 and continued until 2008. Since he retired he enjoys writing, travelling, old cars, and old motorcycles.
