Passion is her middle name while Resilience is her last name. Rania stops at nothing and gives her all to whatever she loves. You will get to know her more through her writings.
Rania’s journey with writing began in her teens. She started with journal entries at the age of fourteen, shortly followed by poems in English and Arabic, her mother tongue. She continued expressing her emotions and thoughts on paper. Never to be revealed to anyone.
Rania’s passion for writing is no coincidence. This has proven to be her most valuable gift. Through her writing, Rania can take you on a whirlwind of emotions. Her writing style does not follow a particular criteria. She writes with utter inspiration and clarity.
The initial journey of releasing her writings to the world began in December of 2011. The events that led to the birth of her blog “livingoutmypurpose” is nothing short of divine intervention. Aka Synchronicity.
Rania never gave up on her dream. She knew one day her work would be published in a book format. The many ideas and projects she had. The many writings she collected. Coupled with many fears and holding herself back. Imposter syndrome kicked in several times. Fear of being exposed. Fear of the consequences of what will be revealed. Yet the one fear, she can never bear is her story not being shared. Not for fame but to be an example for someone to relate and know they are not alone. For someone out there to be inspired. For someone’s life to change to the better. To make a difference. To know, her story and her rising from the ashes, was the lifeline someone needed to rise through their struggles.
And now, the dream is coming true. One book at a time.
A co-author in an anthology with best-selling authors and seasoned writers is an honour and absolute privilege. Taking Off The Shades is a book that every reader will treasure. The women who share their stories in this Anthology are all unique, resilient, inspiring women. The point is not to get caught up in the struggles and tragedies shared, but in the lessons learned and in rising from the ashes.
I must give a shout out to Nicky Cuesta, founder of Balm Global and head of Ladies of Leadership Community. Her tenacity and dedication to holding space for all the women who cross her path. Her generosity and commitment to serving and being the anchor for a community of women who are ready to soar. Today, this book is possible because Nicky preserved. Today, there are more published authors in the world, including myself, because Nicky and all the women who contributed to the success of this project, believed in it and never faltered.
I will be eternally grateful for this opportunity. And most importantly, thankful I crossed paths with a Leader as Nicky Cuesta.
