Renato was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She’s always had a love of reading and writing, but never thought about becoming an author. She started writing poetry at the age of 15 and continued throughout adulthood. After things started changing in her life, she turned to writing as her therapy and wanted to tell the world her story, which was the birth of her memoir: Through the Rain. 

A Rose Is Still A Rose is her debut novel and the first of a trilogy. She writes black romances, thrillers, and poetry. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading from her ever growing TBR (to be read) stack and spending time with her 4 beautiful daughters.
