I was, yes.
Gumroad's transaction fee's have taken nearly 2k out from my revenue with their affiliate links that anyone can use without the consent of the creator and they can earn money from it. It was absolutely disgusting, so I searched for a better alternative and Payhip was the best of the bunch.
I enjoy the customization that you can have and the control you can have with it. If you're looking to get away from Gumroad, payhip is your best free alternative option.

Short Answer: Hell no.
Long Answer: I don't take commissions, and will never take commissions because I only like to make models that I would personally wear. If someone commissioning me wanted a model done and I didn't like the design they chose, I wouldn't be able to give it my all to the commission. I'm aware I could make a lot more money with doing them but I don't care about that.

I plan to, yes! I want to gain a bit more practice with my own renders before opening up my render work for others.

You gotta love VRChat making incompatible SDK's...
The way to fix this, whether you come across this issue with one of my models or another creators work, is to use the SDK that matches to when the model was created. I, as of Holly & Joseph, have started to include the exact SDK that I used on the model in the off chance that by the time I release the model, VRChat has put out a new version.
There could be other issues that cause a prefab error but this seems to be the most common fix.

Absolutely not.
If you want to purchase one of my models, it must be done through my payhip. It keeps things organized and legal this way.

Nope.
If you aren't knowledgable with Unity, you're free to ask a friend to help you upload or by joining my server you can ask in the Unity Help section, or a quick Youtube search will help you find a plethora of videos on how to upload an avatar. Please do not DM directly in regards on how to upload.

You will have to select the "gift" option when you're at checkout and fill out the gift recepients email, discord and vrchat information, not your own.

Whatever version VRChat requires at the time of making said avatar. I always list on the avatar pages on what version of Unity you will need to upload the model. If you use anything other than what is listen on the posting and it breaks? That's not my problem to fix.
-
Go for it, just credit the model's listing page or my personal payhip page (depending if the model listing is available or not). This isn't necessary but a link back to my avatar server would be nice.

...did you not click on the scene right directly at the start of the assets page in Unity that says "OPEN ME", because that's what you gotta click my friend. You can't drag in the model's FBX into the scene.
This could also be a problem caused by placing in the incorrect order for the unity packages. It goes VRCSDK > Poiyomi > (Optional) Dynamic Penetration System > Avatar Package

Out of pure spite.

Blendshapes. It stops whatever from clipping. It looks silly, yes I know but you don't actually see it in game unless you're actively sticking your head inside a model.
