Rick Washburn, Jr., is a pastor, writer, musician, and speaker with a passion for helping people grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Rick has served as the Lead Pastor of Vandalia Baptist in Vandalia, Ohio, since June 2007. Before entering pastoral ministry, he and his wife Megan spent 11 years serving as church-planting missionaries in Colombia and Spain, where they discipled believers, helped establish churches, and served communities across different cultures.

Raised in Medellín, Colombia, Rick grew up in a ministry-focused family. His parents served as church-planting missionaries for 38 years, giving him a lifelong appreciation for the local church, missions, and God's work among people of every culture and background.

A graduate of Arlington Baptist University, Rick has spent more than three decades serving, teaching, writing, and encouraging others in their faith. He is passionate about making biblical truth understandable, practical, and relevant to everyday life.

Rick is also a husband, father of five daughters, and "Papa" to three awesome grandsons.

Through his writing, Bible studies, devotionals, and other resources, Rick's desire is simple: to encourage believers to remain in Jesus, grow in their faith, and live with purpose.
