We’re Rick and Megan Washburn, a husband-and-wife team with a heart for faith, family, ministry, and creativity. Everything we share through this store grows out of more than three decades of serving people, building relationships, and encouraging others through teaching, worship, writing, and creative ministry.

Rick is a husband, writer, musician, and public speaker who has served as the Lead Pastor of Vandalia Baptist since June 2007. He was raised in Medellín, where his parents served as church-planting missionaries for 38 years, giving him a deep love for ministry, missions, and cross-cultural outreach from an early age.

Rick and Megan are both graduates of Arlington Baptist University and spent 11 years serving together as church-planting missionaries in Colombia and Spain. During those years, they worked side by side discipling families, helping establish churches, leading ministries, and serving communities across cultures.

Megan grew up in New Carlisle, Ohio, and has faithfully served in countless roles within the local church. Her passion for people and creativity has led her to teach adults, teens, and children; serve as a Creative Director; organize events; direct musical productions; oversee stage designs; lead worship; organizing and leading missions trips; and encourage and counsel women through every season of life.

Together, Rick and Megan have been married for more than 30 years and have raised five daughters. Today, they are grateful to be known as Mimi and Papa to three energetic grandsons who continue to bring joy and laughter to their family.
