About Me
He studied at the National Superior School of Folklore “José María Arguedas” (Degree, Art Education), at the National University of Music, formerly the National Conservatory of Music (Bachelor's in Musicology), and at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (Master's in Musicology). He studied guitar under prominent teachers such as Octavio Santa Cruz, Eleodoro Mori, Félix Casaverde, Sergio Valdeos, Raúl García Zárate, and Alberto Juscamaita, among others.
He has been a member of various ensembles dedicated to Peruvian traditional music, baroque music, contemporary music, and fusion. He has also participated in numerous guitar festivals held in Peru and has taken Peruvian music to different parts of Europe, including Germany, Austria, Spain, Finland, Belgium, Norway, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Italy, as well as South America.
He has worked on publishing scores of Andean music for guitar, such as Partituras de música andina para guitarra Vol. 1 transcribing arrangements and compilations by Raúl García Zárate (2005), Guitarra del país de los Inkas (2008), Guitarra arequipeña (2009), Música Peruana para Guitarra (2011), and Guitarra de los Andes para niños (2020). He has also published several music research articles in Peruvian journals.
