Seth Escalante

Seth Escalante is a 21st Century Classical Guitarist, Performer, Composer, Arranger, Writer and Lecturer/Teacher from Trinidad and Tobago. Earning his LTCL with distinction from Trinity Guildhall School of music in London in the year 2012, where he also became the guitar lecturer at the University of the Southern Caribbean where he currently still lectures. He performs frequently in Trinidad and Tobago on the top stages including NAPA, NAPA South, Queen’s Hall and The Little Carib Theatre. As to what music he performs, Seth plays a wide variety of genres of music; 21st Century Classical Music, Classical, Jazz, Calypso, Parang, Flamenco and many more. As a composer, he has written over 65 compositions for the guitar as a solo instrument all registered with COTT (The Copyright Organization of Trinidad and Tobago) of which he is a member since 2011. As a frequent performer, he has taken part in many festivals including the well-known annual Tobago Jazz Festival. He also competed in the 2012 Music Festival where he placed first in the guitar category for all ages and 21 and under, as well as obtaining a recommending letter from the judges for his composition. In the field of education, he has written the syllabus and all the course outlines for guitar at all levels in the University of the Southern Caribbean. He has written several books for his students as well as a collection of worksheets for beginner to advanced students. He also teaches in Holistic Music School in Cascade which is a musical school that teaches from a range of children to adults.
