Dear Reader,
It is wonderful to see you here again. I have been busy since April and I want to share with you what I have been up to. Living in Coastal Virginia, there is a rich tapestry of native plant species, each uniquely adapted to thrive in its local environment. By incorporating these indigenous beauties into our garden, we not only celebrate the natural heritage of our region but also create a haven for local wildlife. We have spent the last two months landscaping our yard to include two large pollinator gardens filled with Brown-eyed Susans, Milkweed, a variety of Astor, Swamp Sunflowers, Elderberry, Chokeberry and more. The bees, butterflies, and songbirds are already visiting the garden and it is a wonderful sight first thing in the morning.
