Enough is Enough

Hello you fabulous readers!

Don't you just love fall? I feel extra creative this time of year. I love summer too, but that is more of a time of relaxation catching up my To Be Read pile. Maybe it is a holdover from childhood, when you relaxed from school in the summer and got geared up to be productive again in the fall, who knows.

The difference now is that I read all the time.

I am currently reading Heart, Soul, Pen by Robin Finn and while I haven't finished it yet so I can't get you a full review. I had an idea while I was reading yesterday, about being enough. This is certainly a theme you see quite often and rightfully so. But the thought that struck me is that I am not satisfied with being just enough. I want to be more than enough.

From Webster's Dictionary: Enough (adjective): occurring in such quantity, quality, or scope as to fully meet demands, needs, or expectations

"....to fully meet demands, needs or expectations." Whose demands, needs and expectations? That is the question. Is it your own, or someone else's? If it is your own do those demands, needs and expectations change once you meet your goal? Mine do. I'm always moving the goal, striving for more, or the next level. So in that context I find the term 'to be enough' limiting. I don't want to be just enough, I want to be more.

I challenge you to be more.
