Hello Spring!

Dear Friends,

Happy April! As Virginia blooms with the promise of spring, I hope this newsletter finds you all in good spirits and ready for some exciting updates from the world of storytelling. So, grab a cup of your favorite beverage, settle into your comfiest reading nook, and let's dive in!

Book Updates

For you romance fans, I've been hard at work rewriting and editing Ginny's Christmas Wish, and I can't wait to share the revamped version with you all soon! Stay tuned for updates and sneak peeks, including a new cover.

For my crime noir fans, I'm working on book two in the Matt Collins Investigation Series is well underway! I struggled a little with the plot and wasn't liking where things were headed. So I stepped back, did some more research for inspiration and am back on track, so get ready for more twists, turns, and thrilling adventures with our favorite detective.

For fans of my Maggie Gray science fiction series, I know you have been waiting the longest for the next book, I have exciting news! I'm currently outlining a new sci-fi book that will take you on an intergalactic journey filled with wonder, danger, and the limitless possibilities of the universe. Keep an eye out for more details as the story unfolds.

 Springtime Joy

As we welcome the season of renewal, take a moment to embrace the beauty of spring. Whether it's enjoying the sight of blooming flowers, taking leisurely strolls in the crisp air, or indulging in some spring cleaning to clear both your physical and mental spaces, let's make the most of this rejuvenating time of year. I've been attending gardening seminars in preparation for gardening season. We are preparing the garden beds for the vegetable garden. We have some weekends reserved for attending native plant sales for the flowers and plants for the rest of the yard. I am trying to attract more bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies, so I need to put more of the plants they love in my yard. Bonus, this means there will be less grass to cut!

Story Garden Summit Highlights

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Story Garden Summit sponsored by Plottr, and it was truly inspiring! From insightful discussions on craft and creativity to valuable tips on plotting and world-building, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow storytellers and nurture our love for storytelling. I'm grateful for the experience and can't wait to apply what I've learned to my upcoming projects. I have some great ideas and I can't wait to put them into practice. If you are a writer, check out Plottr's YouTube Channel, they have a ton of great videos there to help you with structure and craft.
