I Can’t Believe It’s June Already!
Is anyone else wondering where the year went? Somehow, we’ve arrived at June, and summer is already off to a wild, wonderful start.
This weekend alone, I spent three days—and more money than I care to admit—at the Greek Festival. No regrets, though. Between the music, dancing, and the absolutely irresistible food (hello, honey-drenched baklava), it was worth every penny. There’s just something about festivals that kicks off summer in the best way.
Back at home, the garden is in full swing. I’ve already started harvesting oregano, which means jars of homemade oil of oregano are coming soon. I’m drying catnip for the kitties—who are very excited about that—and the basil is practically begging to become pesto. There’s something deeply grounding about working with herbs: the scent, the ritual, the connection to the season.
And speaking of things in bloom—big news on the writing front! The Forgotten Signal is officially with the editor, which feels both thrilling and a little nerve-wracking. I'm also in the process of getting my backlist titles into audio format (finally!), so stay tuned if you’re an audiobook lover.
On top of that, I’m diving back into my long-simmering romance project. To keep the momentum going, I’ve joined the Novel90 Summer Edition—a 90-day challenge designed to help writers stay focused and finish a draft. Accountability and community? Yes, please.
Also, over on my website, I’ve launched a new club where I’m sharing lessons and insights from my eight years in the writing and publishing world. If you’re a fellow writer, an aspiring author, or just curious about the behind-the-scenes of storytelling and book-building, I’d love to see you there.
So yes—summer is already bursting with flavor, projects, and possibilities. Let’s make it a good one.
