From Coach to Consultant: Why I Made the Shift (and What It Means for You)

If we’re being honest, “coach” has become the avocado toast of entrepreneurship... everybody’s doing it, some love it, some hate it, and not everyone’s getting the nutrients they need. 🥑✨

For years, I coached entrepreneurs, women of color, and service-based founders on how to build influence online. And it worked… for a while. But then something shifted.


I started noticing a pattern. My clients didn’t just need pep talks or accountability... they needed strategy, systems, and someone to roll up their sleeves with them.


I’ll never forget one client who said:

“Ronny, I don’t need another motivational Zoom call. I need someone to literally tell me how to set up this funnel before I throw my laptop.”


That was my lightbulb moment 💡. Coaching was great for encouragement, but consulting allowed me to step in as a partner, not just a cheerleader.


The Lesson:

👉🏽 Coaching asks: “What do you think you should do?”

👉🏽 Consulting says: “Here’s the proven roadmap, let’s execute it together.”


And here’s the truth: most entrepreneurs struggling with visibility and traction don’t need more “you got this.” They need a clear strategy + systems that actually bring in leads and income.
