The Group Chat

There was a group chat with 100 friends.

One went silent.

Stopped responding. Disappeared off socials.

Most people didn’t notice.

But one friend did.

They left the party.

Logged off.

Drove across town in the rain just to knock on a door and say

“You good?”

And when the door finally opened

when the silence cracked

when tears replaced words

They didn’t say, “Where have you been?”

They said,

“I’m just glad you’re here again.”

✅ Moral:

Love doesn’t count who stayed.

It notices who’s missing.

and goes.

Not to shame, not to rescue,

but to remind the forgotten:

You still matter.

Questions to Reflect On:

  • Is there someone in your life who’s gone quiet… and you haven’t checked in?
  • Have you ever been the one who disappeared, and wondered if anyone noticed?
  • Are you more concerned with managing the 99… or reaching for the one?
  • What kind of world are we building if we only care for those who stay close?

Truth is sometimes packaged as rigid, controlling, and closed. To accept a set of beliefs uncritically.

  • It says, “Believe this or else.”
  • It offers all the answers, demands agreement, and claims sole ownership of what’s right.
  • It builds walls, controls behavior, and creates followers.

But real truth, living truth, invites.

It says, “Here’s what I’ve found. What does it stir in you?”

It doesn’t demand answers; it awakens better questions.

It doesn’t try to control you, it helps you remember who you really are.

Let’s seek it together.

Let's honor autonomy.

It doesn’t create followers.

It calls forth image-bearers.
