About Me

Hi, I'm Arinola Kolawole. I am a Biomedical Scientist, postpartum nervous system educator, and birth trauma survivor.


Eight years ago I had a traumatic birth. I developed sepsis. I spent eleven days in hospital. I came home to my family and tried to pretend I was fine.

I wasn't fine.


I was anxious for no clear reason. Exhausted in a way sleep never fixed. Snapping at the people I loved.


Disconnected from my life, my children, and myself. And for years — nobody could tell me why.


As a Biomedical Scientist I started researching. I read the literature on the gut-brain axis, the vagus nerve, and postpartum nervous system dysregulation.


I became convinced that what I was experiencing wasn't just emotional. It was physiological. And it had been completely missed by every healthcare professional I had seen.


What I eventually found — and what finally shifted things — wasn't therapy or mindset work or pushing through.
