My teaching journey began as a spoken English tutor while studying in China, where I completed my master’s degree in International Business at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. I later moved to the UK and continued my career in education as a secondary school maths teacher. Adapting to a new country, culture and education system came with challenges, including culture shock and different classroom expectations. These experiences shaped my approach to teaching and inspired me to share what I have learnt, supporting other internationally trained teachers as they build their careers in UK schools.
