Terms and Condition
American Standard Issue — Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 22, 2026
Welcome to American Standard Issue. These Terms of Service apply to purchases and use of digital products offered by American Standard Issue through our Payhip storefront.
By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using an American Standard Issue product, you agree to the following terms.
1. Our Products
American Standard Issue provides digital preparedness guides, Decision Companions, reference materials, readiness plans, and related educational resources designed to help individuals and households make clearer, more practical decisions during unexpected situations.
All products are digital unless a product listing specifically states otherwise. No physical item will be shipped.
2. Informational and Educational Use
American Standard Issue products provide general preparedness and educational information only.
Our materials do not replace instructions, advice, assessment, or services provided by emergency responders, law enforcement, fire departments, emergency management agencies, healthcare professionals, school officials, utility providers, government authorities, or other appropriately qualified professionals.
During an actual emergency, always follow instructions from appropriate local authorities and emergency personnel.
Conditions differ from one emergency, location, household, school, workplace, and community to another. No guide can anticipate every circumstance.
3. Personal and Household License
Unless a product page or separate written license specifically states otherwise, your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for personal or household use.
You may:
- Download the files for your own use.
- Print reasonable copies for members of your household.
- Store copies on your personal devices.
- Use the materials as part of your personal or household preparedness planning.
You may not:
- Resell or redistribute the files.
- Upload them to public websites, shared drives, social-media groups, file-sharing services, or databases.
- Give digital copies to unrelated households or organizations.
- Modify and sell the materials as your own.
- Remove American Standard Issue branding, copyright notices, or other ownership information.
- Use a personal-use purchase for organization-wide, school-wide, workplace-wide, commercial, training, or institutional distribution unless expressly authorized.
Schools, businesses, agencies, community organizations, housing organizations, healthcare organizations, and other groups should obtain an appropriate organizational or group-use license when such licensing is offered.
4. Intellectual Property
All American Standard Issue products, including written content, layouts, graphics, frameworks, names, decision tools, downloadable files, and related materials, are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchasing a product gives you permission to use it under these Terms. It does not transfer ownership of the product or its intellectual property to you.
“American Standard Issue,” “NOW WHAT?™,” “Decision Companion,” and associated materials and branding remain the property of their respective owner.
5. Emergency Information Changes
Emergency-preparedness recommendations, technologies, public-safety practices, government guidance, and local procedures may change over time.
American Standard Issue may revise, update, replace, or discontinue products as information evolves. We cannot guarantee that every previously downloaded version will automatically update.
Customers should also remain familiar with current guidance issued by their local emergency-management agencies and other appropriate authorities.
6. No Guarantee of Outcome
Preparedness may improve awareness, confidence, and decision-making, but no preparedness product can guarantee safety, prevent injury, prevent property loss, or ensure a particular outcome during an emergency.
American Standard Issue does not warrant that use of a guide will eliminate all risk.
Users remain responsible for evaluating their circumstances and choosing actions appropriate to the situation.
7. Product Availability and Technical Access
Digital products are generally delivered through Payhip or another designated delivery system following successful payment.
It is the purchaser's responsibility to maintain access to a compatible device, PDF reader, printer, internet connection, or other technology necessary to use the product.
If a file is corrupted, incomplete, or inaccessible because of a technical issue with the supplied product, please contact us so we can attempt to resolve the problem.
8. Pricing, Payment, and Taxes
Prices may change at any time. A price change does not affect purchases already completed.
Payments are processed through Payhip and its supported third-party payment processors. Applicable taxes may be calculated or collected in accordance with the requirements of the platform and applicable law.
9. Prohibited Use
American Standard Issue products may not be used:
- For unlawful purposes.
- To misrepresent emergency or governmental instructions.
- To impersonate American Standard Issue.
- To create competing products substantially derived from our copyrighted materials.
- To distribute unauthorized copies commercially or non-commercially.
- In any manner that falsely suggests endorsement by American Standard Issue.
10. Third-Party Services
Our storefront and payment process may rely on third-party services such as Payhip and payment processors.
American Standard Issue is not responsible for outages, account restrictions, payment-processing interruptions, or other technical problems caused solely by third-party platforms.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, American Standard Issue and its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the purchase or use of our digital products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.
12. Refunds
Purchases are subject to the American Standard Issue Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms (see Refunds section).

We may update these Terms from time to time as our products, services, or business practices evolve.
