Absolutely! Extra care is put into each set to elevate our nails into a durable, long-lasting, luxury option.
We thoroughly prep high-quality nail tips and add a layer of builder gel to create a strong foundation for each design. Our glossy top-coat is scratch-resistant, and durable.
Our goal is to create beautiful, reusable nails that stand up to daily wear and tear for at least 30 days of total lifetime wear.
See "How to care for my Clawz" below for best practices to keep your sets beautiful and long-lasting.
Followed the care guide and still had an issue? As AngelClawz grows, we hope you'll reach out with any major quality issues you experience so we can make it right and improve with your feedback!

Step 1: Prep! (Do This First for All Methods!)
No matter which adhesive you choose, your natural nails must be completely stripped of oils and shine, or the nails will pop off.
- Wash & Dry: Wash your hands with dish soap (it strips surface oils better than hand soap) and dry them completely.
- Push Cuticles: Use a cuticle stick to gently push back your cuticles. Clear away any invisible dead skin clinging to the nail bed.
- Remove the Shine: Lightly buff the entire surface of your natural nails with a fine-grit buffer. You want a dull, chalky look—no shiny spots!
- Dehydrate & Sanitize: Wipe each nail thoroughly with an isopropyl alcohol pad. Once wiped, do not touch your nails with your fingers, or you'll transfer skin oils right back onto them.
Step 2: Choose Your Application Method + Apply
Read below for each option and their uses.
Safety first! UV cured glue is NEVER safe for the application of press-on sets, or any nails other than clear, unprepped and unpainted gel nail tips intended for a gel-cured application.
Press-On Tabs: Lasts 1-3 days.
Great for photoshoots, weekend events, quick removal, temporary looks, and protecting your natural nails from glue residue. Perfect if you can't wear nails at your day job!
Removal is easy, with no nail damage, and no need to soak off.
How to Apply:
- Match the sheet of sticky tabs to your natural nail sizes.
- Peel the tab off the sheet and apply it directly onto your natural nail.
- Press firmly and smooth it out to eliminate air bubbles.
- Peel off the protective top layer.
- Align your AngelClawz nail at a 45-degree angle right up to your cuticle line, press down firmly, and hold hard for 15-30 seconds.
---------------------------------------------------
Liquid Nail Glue: Lasts 1–2 Weeks.
Best for daily standard wear and active lifestyles.
Removal requires soaking.
How to Apply:
- Apply a small drop of liquid glue to the back of the AngelClawz tip, spreading it thinly across the area that will sit on your nail.
- Apply a tiny drop of glue to the center of your natural nail.
- Press the tip down starting from the cuticle line at a 45-degree angle to rock the glue forward and push out any air bubbles.
- Hold firmly in the center with heavy pressure for at least 1 minute per finger.
---------------------------------------------------
Combo Method - Press on tabs AND nail glue: Lasts 2–3 Weeks.
This offers maximum security, reduces air bubbles, and is a good long-wear option. The combo method offers extra security in preventing water from getting trapped under the nail tip.
Removal requires soaking, but can be a bit gentler on the nail than nail glue alone.
How to Apply:
- Follow the Press-On Tabs instructions to apply a sticky tab directly onto your natural nail and peel away the clear backing.
- Place a small drop of Liquid Nail Glue directly on top of the sticky tab.
- Immediately apply your AngelClawz nail, rocking it from the cuticle forward.
- Press and hold firmly for 1 minute. The glue fuses with the tab to create a watertight, ultra-strong seal.
---------------------------------------------------
CurvLife or Other Air-Dry Gel: Lasts 2–3 Weeks.
Best for flat nail beds, filling deep curve gaps, and ultimate comfort.
Removal requires soaking.
How to Apply:
- Squeeze a small bead of the thick CurvLife or other thick air-dry gel glue directly into the cuticle area on the back of your AngelClawz nail.
- Gently press the tip onto your natural nail starting at the cuticle, allowing the thick gel to slowly glide forward to fill the entire bed.
- Do not push so hard that all the gel squeezes out the sides.
- Because it is an air-dry formula with a gel thickness, hold it steadily in place for 1-2 minutes to allow the bond to form.
---------------------------------------------------
Step 3: Post-Application Care
To allow the adhesives a chance to fully dry, cure, and lock into place for maximum longevity, avoid exposing your hands to water or oils for the first 2 hours after applying your nails with liquid glue, combo, or gel glue.
For removal, see the Clawz Care Guide below.

Here are a few essential tips to keep your Clawz in pristine condition for multiple uses:
- Avoid Acetone:Never use acetone or standard nail polish remover to take off press-ons, acetone will melt them.
- Remove Safely: Soak your hands in warm water, dish soap, and a little cuticle oil or olive oil for 10–15 minutes, then gently lift the edges using a cuticle stick.
- Clean the Backs: Carefully buff away leftover dried glue from the underside of the press-ons using a file before storing them to get them ready for your next wear.
- Store Securely: Keep your nails safe from dust, lint, and sunlight by placing them back in their original packaging between wears.
How to Clean & Sanitize Clawz:
- Sanitizing the Surface: Wipe down the front and back of the nails with a lint-free wipe or cotton pad soaked in 70% to 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. This kills bacteria instantly and evaporates quickly without leaving a residue.
- Washing Off Makeup or Dirt: If the nails get dirty from foundation, hair dye, or daily grime, wash them gently with warm water and antibacterial dish soap using a soft-bristled nail brush or a clean old toothbrush.
- The Golden Rule: It's worth stating twice! NEVER use Acetone or nail polish remover. Acetone acts as a solvent that will melt nail tips and dissolve your beautiful gel designs.
Chip happens! We do our best to make your Clawz extra strong and durable for all of your bad*ss activities, but here's what we recommend to keep them extra flawless:
- Jewelry, Not Tools: Treat your nails like jewels, not tools. Never use your Clawz to pry open soda cans, peel labels, or open packages. Use a butter knife or pen instead to protect the tips from blunt force impact.
- Cap the Edges (If Filing): If you file the tips down to shorten them at home, you will break the protective top-coat seal. Always brush a layer of clear top-coat over the freshly filed free edge to reseal it and prevent the gel layers from lifting or chipping.
- Wear Gloves for Housework: Standard household cleaning chemicals, dish soap, and extended exposure to hot water can weaken the bond between the gel layers over time. Wear rubber gloves when doing the dishes or cleaning.
- Avoid Submerging for Long Periods: Avoid long hot baths, hot tubs, or swimming immediately after applying your nails. When the natural nail absorbs water, it expands and flexes, which puts stress on the rigid gel tip and can lead to hairline cracks or chips.

At AngelClawz, every single set of press-ons is carefully handcrafted to order. Because of the custom nature of our work, all sales are generally final. However, we want you to absolutely love your Clawz. If an issue arises, our policy details how we handle custom orders and exceptions:
The Photo Approval Process for Customized Sets (No Surprises!)
Before a custom set is officially packaged and shipped, I will send you high-quality photos of your finished nails via email. This is your chance to review the art, colors, and overall design. If something looks off, we will fix it right then and there. Once you reply with your approval, your nails are shipped. Because you approve the design beforehand, we do not offer returns or refunds based on design preferences or changes of mind after shipment.
Eligibility for a Refund
We will only grant a refund under the following strict conditions:
Unworn Sets: If you receive your set and truly dislike it so much that you will not wear it, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery. The set must be returned to us completely unworn, unused, and in its original, pristine packaging. Once we receive and inspect the item, a refund for the set will be issued (minus original shipping costs).
Lost Shipments: If your order never arrives due to a verifiable postal error (i.e., tracking shows it was lost in transit and not marked as "Delivered"), we will issue a full refund or create a replacement set for you.
-
Once your order receives final confirmation, processing begins. Estimated processing time at the time of confirmation will be included in your confirmation email, and found at the top of this website -- updated regularly to accurately reflect processing times.

Need your Clawz for a big day, and STAT!? Please use the custom order form and specify your needs.
Because every set of Clawz is handcrafted, rush slots are highly limited. While expedited options are not always available, I try to accommodate special events when possible, and will get back to you promptly with options!
Rush fees depend entirely on how fast you need them and how packed my schedule is, and shipping fees are based on available shipping options.
Delivery Guarantee
If your expedited order is a go, and we agree on a specific arrival date via email, I'm committed 100% to meeting that deadline. In the rare event that AngelClawz fails to ship your order by the agreed deadline and it cannot arrive in time for your event, you may choose to either receive a full refund of your Rush/Shipping fees (keeping the nails), or cancel the order entirely for a full refund.
Postal Service Exceptions
Please note that this guarantee covers delays caused inside the AngelClawz studio. Once your package is with the post office, carrier delays, bad weather, or routing errors are completely out of my hands. You will always be provided with a tracking number the second your package is sent so you can monitor its progress!

Love that you asked!! Health comes first here, and anything claiming that gel nail products carry zero risk is a lie.
The truth is, gel products contain chemical acrylates that can cause permanent allergies if they contact the skin uncured.
While press-ons have the potential to reduce exposure when cured properly and are easier on your nailbeds vs traditional salon extensions because they don't require aggressive drilling or chemical soaking, risk is never entirely eliminated -- and undercured products are much more common on the pressies market than in liscensed salons with certified nail techs.
I take every possible precaution in my studio to minimize these risks. I strictly avoid colored 3D sculpting gels because they block UV light and cannot cure completely to the core. Instead, I work exclusively with clear sculpting gels and build them in thin, meticulous layers to get the deepest, most thorough cure possible under appropriately rated lamps that reach all sides of each nail. I don't flash-cure or use UV cured glue under rhinestones or glitter where UV light can't reach easily, taking every step I can to avoid leaving undercured product behind.
Please note that complex custom requests or heavy 3D art can carry additional risk, as certain structural designs cannot be built in layers. However, even with advanced sculpting, all product safety guidelines are followed to a T. I take care to research and understand the products I'm using, I don't mix uncured products or pigments that have not been lab-tested together for full-curing capability, and I double the recommended cure time each step of the way.
Because transparency matters, you can find an in-depth, honest breakdown of my studio processes, sanitation practices, and links to the safety data sheets for the exact products I use on our [Safety Page]. It’s designed to be a real resource for customers, DIYers, and fellow nail artists alike to understand gel risks and make informed decisions about what goes on your body!
