Hey y’all! My name is Lauren Colby and I am a small farmer/homesteader in the backwoods of West Tennessee. You can find me outside working with my animals, building chicken houses and greenhouses, gardening, canning and preserving, and most importantly- chasing after my 3 kiddos!

When I was 4 years old, my great grandmother taught me to crochet. I crocheted exclusively my whole life until about a year and a half ago when I decided to teach myself to knit. In my head, I thought socks would be THE place to start. Little did I know that socks are super intimidating for a less-than-beginner knitter! However I persevered and learned by watching LOTS YouTube video tutorials! Since then, I have knit socks almost exclusively with a few sweaters for the kids thrown in here and there.

After honing my knitting skills a bit, I realized that I have a real love for test knitting. I find so much joy in the whole process and have met some of my dearest friends in test knit groups. I test knit for several designers over a years time and finally decided to design patterns of my very own!

All of my patterns are inspired by my life on the farm and I hope with every pattern I can open little windows into country farm life and homesteading which are both such big passions of mine. I hope you enjoy, happy knitting!
