FAQs

  • DCA stands for dollar-cost averaging. It means buying a set amount of Bitcoin regularly over time instead of trying to perfectly time the market. The tracker helps you record each buy, track your total invested, and calculate your average buy price.

  • LVR stands for loan-to-value ratio. It compares the size of a loan to the value of the Bitcoin used as collateral. For example, a $10,000 loan against $100,000 of Bitcoin collateral is a 10% LVR. If Bitcoin falls in price, the collateral value falls and the LVR rises, which can increase borrowing risk.

  • Yes. The tracker can be used with any currency, such as USD, AUD, CAD, NZD, GBP, or EUR. Just use one currency consistently throughout the sheet. The tracker does not automatically convert currencies.

  • No. The tracker is manual. You enter your Bitcoin purchases yourself. This keeps it simple and avoids connecting exchange accounts, wallets, or APIs.

  • The original file is a template. To use it, open the template link, go to File → Make a copy, and save your own editable version to Google Drive.

  • Some cells contain formulas. Editing calculated cells directly may break the tracker. Only update the orange input cells and enter your Bitcoin purchases in the Bitcoin DCA Log.

  • The free version is designed for simple Bitcoin DCA tracking. The full version adds Bitcoin-backed loan LVR tracking, interest estimates, projection estimates, scenario planning, and a tax log.
