About Me

I’m Chris Somerfield — a Division 1 college golfer and founder of CS Performance Golf.

After dealing with injuries early in my career, I became focused on building a body that could actually perform. That led me into golf fitness, where I’ve since increased my clubhead speed by over 20 mph and developed into a D1 athlete at Arkansas State.


Now, I help golfers improve performance, gain speed, and stay pain-free by training smarter — not just practicing more.


My approach is simple:

Test → Identify → Train → Improve

What I do

I help golfers increase clubhead speed, improve performance, and stay pain-free by training the way elite athletes do.


Most golfers are stuck because they’re training the wrong things.


They:

  • hit more balls
  • stretch randomly
  • follow generic workouts

…but never address what’s actually limiting their swing.

That’s where my system comes in.

Using my Golf Speed Combine, I assess:

  • Mobility
  • Rotational ability

Then I build training programs that target exactly what’s holding you back.

Why This Matters

If your body can’t move or produce force the right way, your swing will always be limited — no matter how much you practice.
