I am Home Economist Karla Jones Seidita. Welcome!!

I’ve been a food industry professional for more years than I care to count. 

I’ve been a teacher.

I've owned a restaurant and a wholesale bakery. 

I’ve hosted a popular radio program and been a regular contributor to The Virginia Eats +

Drinks Radio Show. 

I’ve written for newspapers and magazines, too.

For 15 glorious years, I owned and operated Cheesecake Farms County Inn located in southern Fauquier County, Virginia.  It was a much loved and very popular agri-educational sanctuary for learning and refreshment.

My guests were guided through adventures in the kitchen and garden, educational experiences of all kinds, group teas and overnight bed and breakfast accommodations.  Guests relaxed, refreshed and reconnected.

I’m now retired from inn-keeping and spend my days at my laptop and in the garden.

My most recent project was a cozy-mystery, cookbook novel “The Secret of the Antique China”. Every chapter is garnished with yummy recipes. I'd love to see it become a Hallmark channel movie mystery! Wouldn't that be great fun????
