Health & Safety Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk
Version 1.2, 26 Oct 2026. This applies to every program sold by Register Fitness (Stephen Register), including Build the Base, Build the Burn, Built for Speed and any bundle. The same text is printed on page 2 of each program PDF and on the Read First tab of each tracker.
1. See your doctor first. Talk with your doctor before you start this or any exercise program. This matters most if you have a heart, lung, joint or other medical condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, a recent injury or surgery, take daily medication, are pregnant or postpartum, or have been inactive. If your doctor tells you not to do any part of this program, don't do it. Your doctor's advice comes first.
2. This is not medical advice. This program is general fitness and training education. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It does not replace care from your doctor, physical therapist, athletic trainer, registered dietitian or other health professional. Stephen Register has not examined you and does not know your health history. Buying the program does not make him your personal coach or create a coach-client relationship.
3. You take part by choice, and you accept the risk. Exercise, including walking, lifting, jumping and sprinting, carries a real risk of injury. That includes muscle strains and tears, joint and back injuries, falls, heat illness, heart problems and, in rare cases, death. You choose to do this program, and you choose which parts to do. You accept these risks and take responsibility for your own safety.
4. Stop if something feels wrong. Stop right away and get medical help if you feel chest pain, pressure or tightness, pain that spreads to your arm, jaw or back, dizziness or faintness, severe shortness of breath, a racing or irregular heartbeat, or sharp pain in a muscle or joint. Chest pain that does not go away with rest is an emergency. Call 911 or your local emergency number.
5. You choose your loads, setup and space. You decide how much weight to use, how hard to push, and how to set up each exercise. You are responsible for your equipment, your shoes, your training surface and the space around you. Check that your equipment and training area are safe and in good repair before each session. Use safety pins or a spotter when lifting heavy. Learn any lift you are unsure of from a qualified coach in person before you load it.
6. Results are not guaranteed. Results depend on many things, including your health, training history, sleep, nutrition, genetics and how closely you follow the plan. No specific result is promised, including weight loss, strength gains or sprint times.
7. Limit of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Stephen Register, Register Fitness and anyone working with them are not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage that comes from using or misusing this program, its tracker or any related material. If any liability is found anyway, it is limited to the amount you paid for the program. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
8. Under 18. If you are under 18, you may use this program only with your parent's or guardian's permission and with an adult supervising your training sessions. For lifting, jumping and sprinting, that adult should be a qualified coach when possible. A parent or guardian who buys this program for a minor, or lets a minor use it, agrees to these terms for that minor and accepts responsibility for supervising them.
9. Your agreement. By buying, downloading or using this program, you confirm that you have read this disclaimer, that you understand it, and that you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not buy or use the program. All sales of digital downloads are final, and no refunds are given, including for change of mind or a decision not to accept this disclaimer after you buy. If a file is damaged or you receive the wrong one, I'll replace it. For questions about your files, email register.stephen.paul@gmail.com, or send a message through Etsy if you bought there. Contacting me for support does not create a right to a refund. This does not limit any right that the law says cannot be waived.
Program notes.
- Build the Base: This plan is written for adults. If you are recovering from an injury or surgery, follow your physical therapist's plan first.
- Build the Burn: Choose dumbbells you can control for every rep. This program does not give nutrition advice. For that, see a registered dietitian or nutritionist.
- Built for Speed: Sprinting, jumping and Olympic-style lifts carry a higher risk than general exercise. High school athletes should follow their team coach and athletic trainer first, and should not run this plan on top of a team program during the competitive season.
Florida law governs this disclaimer. If any part of it cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
