Hey Sugar Plum, I’m Coco - Proud Jamaican born and raised in Portland, Jamaica until age 10, and still a true yardy (accent and all). During the pandemic, I chose a pescatarian lifestyle in pursuit of better health, but I refused to leave behind the Jamaican flavors I grew up on.
That decision sparked my love for cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, and eventually led me to create my own cookbook to show you that real Jamaican food can still be enjoyed, just without the meat.
Coco’s Kitchen Table celebrates authentic Jamaican flavors through pescatarian and plant-based cooking. Every dish is rooted in culture, cooked with love, and inspired by home. My goal is simple: to bring the taste of Jamaica to your table, whether it reminds you of home or introduces you to flavors you didn’t know you were missing.
